You would have wet yourself in there - so much history, so many battlements and armour styles.... just nuts.

The whole place is a huge - a complete walled city - there are thousands of stories to be told, and there must be so many over the last thousand years.

Mate, I REALLY envy you some of the shots you're making on this journey. My compliments.

We are back, and as I only shoot in raw (or raw plus small JPG if I am shooting a model) there is some post work that needs to be done to get them on here.

It's good to use the post time to re-visit the shots, and choose what still works, not just seemed to catch my eye at the time.

With 17 Folders (Countries) and multiple sub-folders (Towns) in each... I should have fodder for DA for at least a year!

I only shoot in RAW as well, so I can sympathise with the amount of work you're going to have to go through. Particularly with the amount of shots!

We didn't go through every castle, naturally - like Art Galleries, you can be stupefied by beauty, and become totally inured to it.

We picked a good one - we had our own private tour guide - Tina, our host at the Guest house where we were staying. Her family was involved in many of the renovations there, so she had been there 100 times and knew all the side stories... We had a ball.

The history was palpable - more in the corners, than in the exhibits.

That is sooo true about art. You can be overwhelmed and miss the really best things!

I am so glad to be able to share what you see through your camera!
